Sublingual Immunotherapy

MediCenter Allergy Care is introducing Sublingual Immunotherapy. Unlike injection immunotherapy, which is given as shots, sublingual immunotherapy is given as drops under the tongue. Sublingual Immunotherapy is a different approach with allergic disease as it targets with treatment the root cause, not just the symptoms.Once tolerance is built, it can be permanent for many patients.

If you have a significant allergy, Asthma, or any main allergens are covered by the immunotherapy. The provider will based on history, examination and testing.

After allergy testing provided during your initial visit, allergy drops are ordered and provided monthly. These allergy drops are placed under the tongue each morning.

Improvement is noted within a few months and at 6 months should be significant.
